Shut Up And Watch The Movie
Have you ever had the experience of being a movie and someone behind you keeps talking and talking and you just have the uncontrollable urge to just turn around and yell, “Why, don’t you just shut up and watch the movie ?”
In the realm of internal dialogue, it is most likely that one sitting behind you jabbering and disturbing the present moment the is your movie is you. There are many times when what is needed is less talk and simply playing attention to the moment and see what unfolds. Too much thinking and talk can simply lead to jumping to false conclusion, unfounded expectations and misguided plots. It is living more in the moment when you can tell yourself to “shut up” and let Life’s movie unfold.
